Summary of Alex's racing career
Alex, like a big percentage of today's drivers started in Cadets in April 2007. Although most karters in this class start at the early age of 7/8 years, Alex was a late starter at age 10 and a half years and in his first race as a Novice cadet at Tynagh in Galway he won first place Novice and 6th place overall. With such ability coming through in his first race, later in 2007 after many more wins, Alex was awarded the Novice Driver of the Year Trophy by Motorsport Ireland, a Trophy created by them because of his achievements throughout his first year. His name will be followed by any Novice Driver in any Class that Motorsport Ireland consider worthy.
In the North of Ireland Alex was also carving out success. Having notched up Ulster Karting Club Driver of the Year in 2007 after some spectacular wins in his first few months racing, Alex then took on and won the much coveted Ulster Championship at Easter 2008. In May 2008 Alex again showed the locals at UKC his winning form when he took on an Ulster Cup Championship round and won the race by more than five seconds to show that he is well able for anything in the country, five seconds might not sound like much but in kart racing a win of that margin showed Alex was at British championship levels.

In the summer of 2008 Alex won the All Ireland Championship (IRL Plate) in Tynagh, Galway and then went on to win the Irish Open Championship (O Plate) in July, at Watergrasshill, Cork.

Alex has now moved on to the much faster Class Formula KF3 which is an International Class. He will be the youngest Formula KF3 driver in Ireland as he is just 12 years old. He has already a win in this Class under his belt in a very short time and he had a podium finish in his first UKC Winter Series Championship 2009.

He will be focusing on the two top British Championships this year The Super 1's and the Stars of Tomorrow. Alex still loves competing in Ireland and schedule permitting he hopes to race in a number of the Plate Races in Formula KF3 as well as in Britain. He has a busy and competitive year ahead of him and is looking forward to it.

Consider having your organisation logo on his Kart, Helmet, Racesuit or Team Gear.
