Throughout September and October Alex competed in every race achieving 3rd 4th and 5th places in both the North and South, however the biggest achievements of the year were yet to come. The first of these was being awarded the Novice Driver Of The Year (Perpetual Trophy) by the Motorsport Ireland Karting Committee. The second was Driver Of The Year Award (Perpetual Trophy) from the Ulster Karting Club.
